Game jam entry for BlackThornProd's GDR Game Jam 2
Use tiny tactics to outwit your AI opponent in a simple battle. Select which team you want to be and which enemy you want to outsmart!
Attacks are turn based and the order is indicated in the queue at the top of the screen. Hover over the queue to visually see which troop is coming next, and plan your strategy accordingly!
Barely finished in time, unfortunately no time for sounds.

Love the character select feature. :)
I thought the attackers could attack from behind the tanks (like the tank protects the attacker.
Won easily just using Tank characters- because I could outlast them.
A good quality-of-life change would be to have the X button by the attack and move button end my turn, or for the turn to end automatically if I had attacked and moved.
Enemy health bars going backwards from mine was a bit unexpected and confused me at first.
I am very interested in seeing your AI script for this.
Yeah didn't have much time for balance. Spent so much time on the combat/AI systems. I was also kinda uncomfortable with the x button but didn't have time to move it really.
I didn't even notice the healthbars were backwards. Must have been something with when I flipped the character scale in the scripts... whoops.
But thanks. The AI is pretty simple, I wanted to make it more complex but the time window was so short I basically just had to go with what I had because it was working lol.
